Beyond The Stadium: 2026 FIFA World Cup Journeys

Every four years, the world stops to watch—and in Summer 2026, the spotlight shifts to our backyard. For the first time in its history, the FIFA World Cup will unfold across three nations: the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. The opening ceremony kicks off in Mexico City on June 11th and New York will host the final on July 19th.

This isn’t just a tournament—it’s a once-in-a-generation chance to experience the world’s game through the lens of North America’s most iconic cities, with the dramatic rise in soccer’s popularity in the region sure to make for an electric atmosphere.

The 16 host cities will range from Vancouver British Columbia in the north to Mexico City, Mexico in the south. Games will be played from June 11, 2026 – July 19, 2026 with the first match taking place in Mexico City and the final match in New York/New Jersey. The 11 host cities chosen to represent the United States showcase a vast spectrum of destinations, highlighting a diverse mix of cultures, landscapes, and histories. From the Atlantic to the Pacific, matches will unfold in cities as varied as Seattle, surrounded by snowcapped mountains and coastal waters; Atlanta, a cultural hub of the American South and home to well-loved Atlanta United FC; and Los Angeles, a cornerstone of the American melting pot, where cultures and languages converge.

For those looking to attend the tournament, All Roads North is perfectly placed to tailor a luxury journey that takes you beyond the stadium and turns the experience into deeper exploration of the U.S., perhaps as an extension after a game or linking multiple games together. Below is just a taste of the many itineraries we look forward to crafting for you.

California

With both Los Angeles and San Francisco in the spotlight, the stage is set for a classic California road trip. We’re keeping fingers crossed for a full reopening of Highway 1 through Big Sur—a stretch that ranks among the most scenic in the world. For refined, adult-focused journeys, head inland to the luxury escapes and celebrated wineries of Napa and Sonoma. Traveling with family? Loop inland to Lake Tahoe and the national parks of the Sierra Nevada.

New York & New England

With matches hosted in New York, Boston, and Toronto, you’re perfectly placed for a summer road trip along the Atlantic coastline or inland through the Hudson Valley. From the polished charm of Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard to the rugged beauty of Maine’s Midcoast, coastal escapes abound. Inland, wind through the rolling hills of Vermont’s Green Mountains or explore the culture-rich Berkshires, where art, food, and natural beauty meet in quintessential New England style.

The Pacific Northwest

Anchored by matches in Seattle and Vancouver, you’ll find yourself in the heart of the Pacific Northwest. Head south to Oregon’s pinot country and its wind-swept coastal towns, or venture deeper into Washington to explore the orca-filled waters of the San Juan Islands and the lush rainforests of Olympic National Park. From here, extend onto Vancouver Island—or keep driving and turn it into a coastal odyssey all the way to California.

Texas & The South

If you can brave the Southern summer, matches in Houston and Dallas open the door to a rich diversity of landscapes and culture. Head west to the wide-open spaces of the Texas Hill Country or even as far as Big Bend and Marfa. To the east, Cajun Country and the soulful rhythms of New Orleans await. From Atlanta—host to eight matches—you can venture north to the Smoky Mountains and Asheville or east to the Low Country, where Charleston and Savannah invite slow, story-filled exploration.
