Atmosphere

The Resort at Paws Up is part working ranch part luxury hideaway that sits on 37,000 acres in Western Montana, classic ‘Big Sky’ country. To the north lies Glacier National Park and the town of Missoula is 45 minutes drive to the west. A stunning 10 mile stretch of the Blackfoot River runs through the property and was part of the route followed by Lewis and Clark on their legendary exploration of the American West.

You’ll enjoy plenty of unforgettable ranch activities, including trail and cattle rides, fly fishing, hiking, whitewater rafting, ATV drives and 16 stations of sporting clay shooting. Additional  fun, programmed activities are available to the youngest guests. Be on the lookout while exploring the ranch, as you’ll encounter resident elk, stunning Black Angus cows, as well as other wildlife roaming the rolling pastures.

After adventure filled days, you’ll return to gourmet meals prepared by world class chefs, a fantastic spa and luxurious living quarters. The accommodations are spread throughout the property, consisting of the main ranch building, a series of wonderful log homes in the woods and various safari-style tented camps.

Your Room

All log homes feature exquisite Western decor and are beautifully appointed with huge fireplaces, flat screen TVs, magnificent baths with rain showers, fabulous spa products and outdoor hot tubs, as well as private porches or decks. The fully furnished luxury tents have electricity and ensuite bathrooms, a deck overlooking the river and are extremely comfortable. 

Need to know

The tented camp can be enjoyed late May through October. It has its own private dining pavilion, where the camp chef will serve breakfast and dinner. Lunch is usually taken at the main ranch (2 miles from the camp) in between your day’s activities.
