Tucked away on twelve lush acres in LA’s most exclusive neighborhood, the historic Hotel Bel Air is an exquisite, intimate oasis, that deserves its reputation as one of the most elegant hotels in the world.

Atmosphere

The moment you leave Sunset Boulevard the world starts to slow down. The short drive to the Hotel Bel Air winds through Stone Canyon, passing the grand mansions of the Los Angeles glitterati. Upon arrival you are welcomed by the impeccable staff who’ll guide you through the gardens and small courtyards to your room. The scent of citrus, lavender and fragrant gardenias greets you at every turn.

Your Room

The 103 bungalow style rooms and suites, are spread throughout this tropical paradise. The property’s original structure dates back to 1925 and a recent remodel kept the original design intact. Each room has been luxuriously appointed, with the finest marble, high end fixtures and the latest in-room technology. The newly added Canyon Suites feature completely retractable walls that open on to private patios with fireplaces, as well as views over the hills and beyond. While the remodeled Bel Air is more streamlined and sophisticated, the attention to detail, the wood burning fireplaces, the soft fabrics and oversized, comfy reading chairs all invite you to relax in this light-filled hideaway.

Need to know

The serene oval pool and the fabulous La Prairie Spa’s full spectrum of treatments will leave you refreshed and rejuvenated.
